Here we just use general words to describe the parameters. There are two main parameters of mist including “spraying angle” and “droplet size”.

The mist goes out as a cone shape. The spring angle refers to the angle of the vertex. Normally the angle is 50 to 60 degree.

Our eyes see the mist likes a cottom. Actually, the mist is composed of many tiny droplets. The diameter of droplets in the range of 1 to 200 micrometers for most of pharmaceutical mist sprayers. The size of droplets has different in one mist. However, there is a size that has the largest numbr among all the sizes. In the chart, it shows a peak. The peak is often at 50 to 100 micrometers. If a sprayer has a stronger spraying ability, the peak will be smaller and the mist looks softer, and vice versa.
The above is just simple description for these two parmaters to help understand. In professional description, there are professional test methods and defined words. For example, the droplet size is normally described using the combination of Dv10, Dv50, Dv90 values.
